Faith that Works Part 1

For the believer, having Christ as your personal Savior is only the beginning. It is one thing to talk about having faith and a love for Christ, but the evidence that this faith is real is our behavior, not what we say. Many of the problems Christians face are a result of spiritual immaturity; problems in personal lives, in homes and in churches. If Christians would just grow up, they would become victors instead of victims! God has given us His blueprint for maturity in the Epistle of James. Come “grow” with us as Pastor John leads the way through this study of the book of James.

Runnin' Down a Dream

Every person has dreams of achievement, goals they want to attain,
mountains they want to climb, and destinations they are determined to
reach. Sometimes in route to our dream we come to a fork in the road
and we don't know which way to turn. Even after examining the pros
and cons of every direction we can still not be certain what to do.
People have all kinds of decision making processes they go through -
whats the best one? What are we to do when we don't know what to do?
When we lack clear direction, how do we find it?

Lydia - Overcoming a Spiritual Void

In this sermon series Pastor John will look into the lives of four ordinary women mentioned in the Old and New Testaments. Rahab: reminds us of how dramatically God’s grace can rebuild a sin-ravaged life. Hannah: exemplified the dedication of motherhood and the importance of making one’s home a place where God is honored above all. Anna: is briefly mentioned in scripture but is an example to us all of how to be a faithful witness to the glory of God, and then there is Lydia: a woman who had a heart wide open for Christ. Not one of these women were perfect, faith was the root of everything that made these women extraordinary. They are our reminders that God uses imperfect vessels “that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us” 2 Cor. 4:7
